Watermelon Jelly

We came across these watermelon slices full of jelly on pinterest so we decided to have ago ourselves, we thought it would be fun to show you how we made them! We hope you enjoy our first blog post! Excuse the smashed watermelon, we were locked out and had to climb over the gate but the watermelon bag broke and the watermelon smashed, bleeding juice all over the path....

What you will need:

-Half a watermelon
-JELLY, we chose raspberry and strawberry because they are watermelon coloured
-Sweets

-Some bowls of various sizes
-measuring jugs
-spoons
-a kettle
-scissors

Step one

Cut the jelly into cubes with some scissors and put into a bowl.

Step two

Scoop the insides out of the watermelon with a spoon and put all of the insides into a seperate bowl.

Step three

Boil half a pint/285 ml of water and pour into a jug, then add the cubes into the jug of boiling water. Stir the jelly cubes around and wait for the cubes to dissolve, and then add your chosen sweets.

Step four

Pour the mixture into the hollowed out watermelon, then pour half a pint of cold water in and wait for the jelly to cool. Once the jelly is cooled put the watermelon into the fridge and wait for the jelly to form.

Once the jelly has solidified cut the water melon into slices (it should be quite easy if your watermelon hasn't been smashed)

To see our end result, make sure to check our blog tomorrow.
If you have tried this yourself make sure to post it on instagram and tag us @vintxge_clouds becasue we would love to see them.
